The foundation includes twelve simple yet powerful habits broken down monthly while allowing the reader to customize the habit so it is doable for them. These habits address the common barriers that get in the way for many Americans, relevant to modern-day society. The habits provided address the following areas:

  • Identification of your wellness vision and personal barriers
  • Mindset and motivation
  • Reducing distractions
  • Stress management
  • Mindful nutrition and movement

In addition to habit-building guidance, there are evidence-based coaching strategies, allowing the reader to create a vision for their well-being, gain motivation, and become aware of the barriers that get in the way. The reader will begin developing a new relationship with the journey between the simple reading material, monthly habits, guided exercises, accountability, and reflection tools. What used to be a set of rules in the past, becomes a true lifestyle and an enjoyable part of who they are.

Maureen McLaughlin, MS, CHC is a Behavioral Health and Wellness Coach based in Chicago, Illinois. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics, and a Master of Science in Complementary and Alternative Medicine, with a specialization in coaching. She is also a certified mindfulness and meditation teacher. She has several years of experience working 1:1 with coaching clients seeking to make healthy lifestyle changes in a variety of areas such as nutrition, exercise, sleep, weight management, as well as stress management, mindfulness, and intentional eating. Maureen is passionate about guiding people to reconnect to what they value in life and building everyday habits that align with what is important to them. She was inspired by her real-life experience as a coach to create a tool derived from what she has seen truly bring lasting lifestyle change in hundreds of clients.
